نتيجة للمتابعة والرصد، وبعد توافر معلومات لدى مفرزة استقصاء البقاع في وحدة الدرك الإقليمي، حول قيام شخصين من التابعية السورية، بتهريب أشخاص سوريين بطريقة غير شرعية، وذلك بواسطة بطاقات هوية عائدة لأشخاص آخرين، تمكنت المفرزة المذكورة من توقيفهما بتاريخ 25/11/2016 بعد مداهمة منزلهما الكائن في بلدة مجدل عنجر البقاعية، وهما كل من:

- م. ب. (مواليد عام 1988)
- م. ش. (مواليد عام 1997)

إضافة إلى توقيف ثمانية أشخاص سوريين داخل المنزل، كان الموقوفان بصدد تهريبهم خارج الأراضي اللبنانية.

بالتحقيق مع الموقوفَين اعترفا بما نسب إليهما، وبقيامهما بعمليات التهريب بالإشتراك مع شخص ثالث، جرى توقيفه، ويدعى:

- ع. ق. (مواليد عام 1983، سوري الجنسية)

وتبين أنهم من أصحاب السوابق في مجال تهريب الأشخاص والتحقيق جار بإشراف القضاء المختص.
