NNA - Army members at Ras El-Serj checkpoint in Arsal opened fire at a car which did not stop at the checkpoint although its driver, of the Syrian nationality, was asked to, NNA correspondent reported on Thursday, adding that the driver was injured as he tried to escape. 

The field reporter explained that the army members asked the driver of the car to stop his car but he did not obey and tried to jump from the car so they opened fire causing his injury; however, the injured passed away shortly afterwards.
