The field reporter added that the boats are owned by two Lebanese persons from Arida village who were fishing as usual off the said village when the Syrian coast guards opened fire on them and hit one of the boats owned by Fadi H. from Arida village.

He added that the confiscated boat is owned by Khaled Hassan Al-Rashidi from Binnine village and that the guards detained Al-Rashidi, Bachir Al-Mechmichani and a Palestinian person who were on the boat.

Khaled Rashidi's family called upon concerned persons to release the detained persons, threatening to close roads if the captured persons were not released.
