NNA - The Syrian (M.S) was detained over belonging to a terrorist group, a communiqué issued by General Security General Directorate said on Thursday. 

The communiqué mentioned that after following up on the activities of the terrorist groups and sleeping cells affiliated with them, the Syrian (M.S.) was detained upon a notice from the concerned General Prosecution over communicating with those groups.

The communiqué added that the detainee confessed during investigations with him that he belongs to a terrorist group and that he took part with other armed persons belonging to the said organization in attacking Lebanese Army checkpoints and posts during Arsal battle. 

Upon the end of the investigation, the detainee was referred to the concerned judicial authorities.
