On 31 Dec 15, Syrian anti-aircrafts opened fire at a Lebanese helicopter near the al-Kabir River on the border with Syria in the North. The helicopter was slightly damaged but the pilots managed to return to the Qlaiaat base. The helicopter was on a tour roaming over the plains of Akkar. Investigations and contacts have kicked off following the unprecedented incident.
