Three men involved in a dispute that led to a gunfight on the 6th of August in the Burj al-Shemali Palestinian refugee camp were handed over to Lebanese authorities.

The incident saw two families exchange gunfire as the result of a dispute, which  was sparked by a disagreement over a piece of land. The three detainees are members of the two families; two of them are born in 1968, the other in 1997.

A statement issued by Palestinian factions, religious and social groups in the camp said the situation in the camp was calm and under control.
