Beirut police have arrested a man in Ashrafieh on suspicion of dealing drugs.
 
Police were reportedly informed that an individual had been promoting a number of banned substances in the neighborhood, and made the arrest on November 24.
 
The Syrian national, born in 1994, was arrested whilst on a motorbike. At the time of his arrest, he was found to be carrying 33 small bags of various banned substances, including cocaine, morphine, tablets of Buprenorphine and other substances.
 
The suspect was also carrying a significant quantity of cash – some $840 in addition to LL451,000.
