A wanted man was arrested for a series of thefts carried out in Khaldeh after being chased down by the police, the Internal Security Forces said Saturday in a statement.

The arrested suspect, identified as Lebanese national M.R., born in 1994, allegedly confessed to stealing from over 30 people in Khaldeh with an accomplice, as well as stealing over 10 motorcycles from the southern Beirut suburbs.

M.R. was arrested Tuesday in Naameh, after attempting to get away from the police. He had six warrants calling for his arrest for theft and drug-related charges, according to the statement.

Investigations are ongoing under judicial supervision while the ISF is working on locating the accomplice.
