South Lebanon’s regional drug control office arrested a suspect known as “Al-Didi” on suspicions of drug trafficking and promotion, a security source told The Daily Star.

After a thorough follow-up and careful monitoring, the drug control office reportedly arrested Mohammed Z., born in 1988 and known as “Al-Didi,” in Sidon’s Haret Saida.

The suspect was wanted for the crime of trafficking and promoting drugs, the source said.

“The suspect was arrested after being pursued," the source said. "Shots were fired during the chase, after [Mohammed Z.] tried escaping through the roof of a house and hid in a chicken house.”
