The Internal Security Forces announced the arrest of a suspect in the recent murder of a woman in Kesrouan’s Jounieh.
 
The suspect, identified as Syrian national A.A., born in 1999, reportedly turned off his phone after committing the crime and escaped to the Bekaa Valley.
 
He was arrested on November 5 in a “lightning operation” in the Baalbeck town of Yammouneh.
 
The victim, identified as S.A., born in 1954, was found dead in a chalet in Jounieh on November 3. Under interrogation, the suspect admitted to strangling the victim with his hands on Oct. 29. After checking that she had died, the suspect placed adhesive tape over the victim’s mouth and around her hands, and stole LL20,000.
