كرت معلومات صحافية أن الجيش نفذ عملية نوعية في مدينة الهرمل، أدت إلى توقيف "إ. ع." المطلوب بمذكرات توقيف عدة بتهم تجارة مخدرات وإطلاق نار.

وفي التفاصيل ان مخابرات الجيش، وبعد عملية رصد ومتابعة على مدى أيام عدة، لأماكن يتردد عليها المطلوب، حددت مكانه في أحد المنازل في حي المرح، فتم تطويق المنزل واعتقاله، ثم نقله الى احدى الثكنات للتحقيق تمهيدا لتسليمه إلى القضاء المختص
