علنت القيادة السياسية لفصائل "منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية" في منطقة صيدا، في بيان عقب اجتماع طارئ، "الإضراب العام في مخيم عين الحلوة".
ولفت إلى أنّ "على إثر الجريمة البشعة الّتي ارتكبها المدعو "محمد. ب. ع." وأدّت إلى مقتل هيثم علي السعدي، وبعد فشل تسليم القاتل من قبل ذويه، نؤكّد إصرار القيادة السياسية بالإجماع ضرورة تسليم القاتل إلى القضاء اللبناني".
