Anonymous culprits opened fire at the vehicle of State Security Sergeant, Mohamad H., while driving along the Bibnine-Birkayel highway, showering the car with bullets and hitting him in the right thigh, NNA correspondent reported.

The wounded Sergeant was rushed to Mazloum Hospital in Tripoli for treatment. His condition is stable.

Security appratuses launched an investigation into the incident and are searching for the shooters.
