وطنية - صدر عن المديرية العامة لأمن الدولة - قسم الإعلام والتوجيه والعلاقات العامة البيان التالي:

" تمكنت المديرية العامة لأمن الدولة، بعد عمليات رصد وتعقب، من توقيف المواطن اللبناني المدعو وائل ترنيني في محلة برج البراجنة، وهو أحد أبرز المتورطين في عمليات نصب واحتيال وتزوير.

وقد اعترف خلال التحقيق بقيامه بعشرات عمليات نصب واحتيال وتزوير شيكات وحسابات مصرفية. وتبين أنه يتجول مستخدما عدة بطاقات مزورة، وفي حقه 18 مذكرة توقيف وبلاغات خلاصات أحكام بجرائم تزوير ونصب واحتيال".

وبناء لإشارة النيابة العامة الاستئنافية في جبل لبنان، تعمم المديرية صورة الموقوف، وتطلب من المواطنين الذين وقعوا ضحيته، التوجه إلى مكتب بعبدا التابع لمديرية جبل لبنان الإقليمية للادلاء بإفاداتهم تمهيدا لإتخاذ الاجراءات القانونية اللازمة بحقه
