صدر عن المديرية العامة لأمن الدولة - قسم الإعلام والتوجيه والعلاقات العامة البيان الاتي: "بعد ورود عدة شكاوى من المواطنين إلى المديرية العامة لأمن الدولة عن أحد أكبر المرابين في منطقة البقاع، استدعت المديرية اللبناني (ب.ق) وحققت معه بإشراف القضاء المختص، حيث تبين أنه كان يقتنص ضحاياه وهم في حالة العوز الشديد ويمدهم بالقروض لقاء فوائد فاحشة تتخطى الفوائد القانونية بعدة أضعاف.
بناء عليه، تطلب المديرية العامة لأمن الدولة من المواطنين الذين وقعوا ضحية الموقوف المذكور أعلاه، الحضور إلى مكتب زحلة التابع لمديرية البقاع الإقليمية للإدلاء بإفاداتهم تمهيدا لإتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة
