The General Directorate of Lebanon's State Security arrested on Monday Syrian national, Hassan H., in the district of Rashaya, over smuggling Syrian nationals into Lebanese territories through Jabal al-Suwairi, in coordination with a Lebanese partner.

When a State Security patrol raided the suspect's home, Syrian accomplices were also present but refused to comply with the terms of the security forces.

Consequently, the suspect and his accomplices were arrested and later referred to the competent judicial authorities.

Meanwhile, an investigative warrant has been issued against the Syrian smuggler's Lebanese partner, who is still on the loose.
