The General Directorate of Lebanon's State Security arrested in Taanayel of Zahle district Syrian national, Mazen M., over smuggling people in coordination with his partners.In the course of investigations, Mazen admitted to having been secretly smuggling Syrians into Lebanon through a crossing between the town of Marj and Al-Masnaa locality.

The smuggled Syrians would then be handed to Lebanese nationals with whom Mazen splited the profits made.Mazen also admitted that a Lebanese woman, M.Z., born in 1979, ran the smuggling network. Consequently, she was arrested in al-Suwayri district in the western Bekaa.
