The General Directorate of Lebanon's State Securityarrested in Taanayel of Zahle district Syrian national, Mazen M., over smuggling people in coordination with his partners.

The smuggled Syrians would then be handed to Lebanese nationals with whom Mazen splited the profits made.This Lebanese woman, M.Z., born in 1979, ran the smuggling network. Consequently, she was arrested in al-Suwayri district in the western Bekaa. She later admitted that she had smuggled many people from Syria to Lebanon and vice versa in return for financial gains.
