South Lebanon police arrested a person suspected of terror links, state media reported.

State Security’s Regional Directorate in Nabatieh district apprehended a Syrian national identified by the initials Aa.M. after he had allegedly “contact[ed] militant groups in Beit Jinn in Syria,” according to the state-run National News Agency.

The man was under scrutiny as he was one of several suspects tracked by authorities, the NNA said. Their report added that the man had held a memorial service in south Lebanon for his brother who had been killed while fighting with militants in Syria.
