BEIRUT: South Lebanon locals removed roadblocks around UNIFIL observation points near Lebanon’s southern border, state media said.
The observation points, located near olive orchards in the town of Blida in Marjayoun district, are held by the Nepali Battalion of the international force, the National News Agency said.
The state-run agency did not say whether or not the observation points were manned at the time.
South Lebanon residents have been repeatedly involved in scuffles with UNIFIL troops deployed under the mandate of UN SCR 1701.
