BEIRUT: The son of a prominent commander with the Al-Qaeda-linked Abdullah Azzam Brigades Monday surrendered to Lebanese authorities, two weeks after his brother did the same.

Abdullah Toufic Taha handed himself over to the Lebanese Army in south Lebanon, near the Sidon Public Hospital, the state-run National News Agency said.

Mohammad Toufic Taha had turned himself in to authorities at a checkpoint outside the south Lebanon Palestinian refugee camp of Ain al-Hilweh.
