On 15 May 2017, The Bekaa governorate’s council at the Independent Nasserite Movement (Al-Murabitoun) organized a movement to express solidarity with the inmates and detainees on hunger strike in the Israeli prisons. Representatives of forces, parties, as well as national and Palestinian figures attended the movement that was staged in the town of Bar Elias in the Bekaa, outside the council’s headquarters.
