NNA - A number of environmental activists responded, on Saturday, to the Popular Movement Follow-Up Committee's call for a sit-in before Costabrava Landfill, in protest against the establishment of such unhealthy waste dumps, NNA correspondent reported.
"These landfills are a threat to the environment," warned sit-in participants, considering that Costabrava is harmful to marine wealth resources and endangers civil aviation due to its proximity to the airport, attracting multiples of seagulls by the smell of waste in the air.
This security incident was mapped according to the closest possible location.
