The Civil Movement for Accountability staged Tuesday evening a sit-in at Riyadh el-Solh Square in Beirut's Central District, in protest against extending the Parliament Council's mandate, on the eve of holding the Parliamentary session scheduled for this purpose.
Protesters placed 4 tents at the "Place de l'Etoile" in downtown Beirut in preparation for their organized moves on Wednesday in parallel with the session's timing.
Movement Member, Rida Hasan, said that "escalating measures shall be adopted tomorrow against holding the humiliation meeting," referring to Wednesday's Parliamentary session.
Hasan also disclosed that another sit-in will take place Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m. nearby "An-Nahar" daily newspaper's building premises in Central Beirut, in order to prevent deputies from arriving at the House of Parliament to attend the meeting.
