Lebanese Army soldiers clashed with an unknown civilian Thursday near the American University of Beirut Medical Center in Hamra, a security source told The Daily Star.
The unidentified man reportedly blocked the road ahead of an advancing Army unit. causing soldiers to fire into the air and the assailant to flee the scene, according to the source. The state-run National News Agency reported the man was wounded and admitted to AUBMC for treatment.
