Gunfire was heard in Abi Samra Square in Tripoli's Bab el Tebbaneh on Monday afternoon in protest against the death of detainee Mohammad Kayal.
Kayal was held in prison due to his involvement in violence in Tripoli. The detainee was transferred from jail to hospital for treatment where he died.
Kayal's body was delivered to his family in Bab el Tebbaneh today, where tens of people gathered and demanded an end to the case of those detained on charges of involvement in said violence.
