تعمل عناصر قوى الأمن على اعتقال عدد من المتظاهرين أمام السفارة الأميركية في عوكر، كما أدت المواجهات الى سقوط عدد من الجرحى.
يذكر أن هذه التظاهرة جاءت بدعوة من المنظمات الشبابية اليسارية اللبنانية والفلسطينية، رفضا لقرار الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب حول إعلان القدس عاصمة لاسرائيل.
وقطعت القوى الامنية كل الطرقات المؤدية الى السفارة الاميركية، ووضعت الاسلاك الشائكة عند مفترق ضبية - عوكر على بعد كيلومتر من السفارة. هذا وفرضت القوى الامنية من جيش وقوى الامن الداخلي وفرقة مكافحة الشغب تدابير أمنية مشددة في محيط السفارة.
