BEIRUT: Secondary school teachers rallied outside the Ministry of Education in Beirut's UNESCO area to press authorities to meet their demands and respect what they believe are their basic rights.
The protesters held banners criticizing "the humiliating way the state treats teachers," urging the government to grant them the right of full-time employment, National Social Security Fund and transportation fees.
