A member of a Qalamoun-based group made up of Free Syrian Army remnants was injured in the outskirts of a northeastern border town, a Hezbollah-affiliated Twitter channel reported.

The War Media Center said in a tweet that Saraya Ahl al-Sham member Abu al-Rasem al-Jraijereh was hurt after an explosive targeting his car was detonated near the ferris wheel in Wadi Ata, in the outskirts of Arsal.

A source close to Saraya Ahl al-Sham said that Jraijereh was lightly wounded. “This is the third time he was targeted, after an explosive device was dismantled before,” the source said, without clarifying which faction was behind the incidents.

The WMC tweeted that recent dispute had emerged between Saraya Ahl al-Sham and Jabhat Fatah al-Sham – previously known as the Al-Qaeda-linked Nusra Front – over the negotiation deals paving the way for Syrian refugees in Arsal’s outskirts to return to their towns in Syria’s Qalamoun.

It is not uncommon for clashes to erupt between rival militant groups in Arsal's outskirts.

This security incident was mapped according to the closest possible location.
