Romanian national departing from Rafik Hariri International Airport was arrested by the airport’s inspection unit after $108,000 and 350 euros in counterfeit money were found in his bag, the Internal Security Forces said Friday in a statement. The traveler, identified as V.L., born in 1984, was arrested on June 22 while attempting to fly to Romania with the bag. He was handed over to the Financial Crimes and Money Laundering Bureau after getting the green light from the judiciary.
