وقعت في الآونة الأخيرة عدة عمليات سلب بقوة السلاح في مناطق مختلفة من محافظة جبل لبنان من قبل شخص مجهول الهوية يضع قناعا على وجهه، على متن جيب نوع "ب ام X5" لون اسود مجهز بزجاج حاجب للرؤية، حيث أقدم بتاريخ 14/09/2016 على سلب مبلغ مليون ليرة لبنانية من محل لبيع الاجهزة الخلوية في محلة الزلقا، واعتمد الاسلوب ذاته بتاريخ 8/10/2016 وسلب مبلغ 600 دولار اميركي من احد المحال التجارية في محلة جل الديب.
وقام بتاريخ 21/1/2017 بسلب مبلغ 4 ملايين و500 الف ليرة لبنانية بقوة السلاح من احدى الصيدليات في محلة جل الديب.
