On 23 Oct 16, dozens of cars bearing the image of resigned Justice Minister Ashraf Rifi made their way from Akkar to the northern city of Tripoli. Videos circulated on social media depicting a convoy stretching out along the highway. Rifi’s supporters chanted their admiration, while a truck laden with Turkish flags was also part of the procession.
