Retired servicemen from several security agencies protested, calling for the endorsement of a fair salary scale. The protesters from various bodies, including the Army and Internal Security Forces, demonstrated at Martyrs’ Square in Downtown Beirut. Andre Abu Maashar, who was speaking on behalf of the demonstrators, called on politicians to implement a fair salary scale, saying the servicemen deserve to have their rights respected.
