RAPE SUSPECTS ARRESTED Two men were arrested on charges of rape, the ISF said. The incident took place Monday when the survivor was taking a taxi from Zaitunay Bay to a southern suburb of Beirut. Rather than taking her to the intended destination, the driver and a second man in the vehicle took her to the Chouf town of Rmeileh. They stole the woman’s phone, assaulted and raped her before leaving her in nearby town of Jiyyeh. The perpetrators were apprehended separately in the Beirut’s Qoreitem and Basta areas Thursday, the state-run National News Agency reported. They have been identified as 22-year-old Lebanese nationals M.H. and T.T.
