On 09 Nov 16, demonstrators blocked the Tyre highway in south Lebanon in protest of the lack of speed bumps on a recently repaved road. Tens of residents gathered to stop cars in the town Berghliye. The protesters burned tires and threw rubble to block the vital coastal road connecting the southern cities of Tyre and Saida. The locals complained that the contractor had not added speed bumps while executing a recent paving project in the region.
