Several protesters rallied against new taxes in the north Lebanon city of Tripoli.
Several protests took place in mid-March against the intended tax increase across Lebanon. The largest demonstration was held in Riad al-Solh Square in Downtown Beirut on Sunday March 19. The Parliament is yet to endorse the new state budget for 2017 and the new salary scale bill.
