The suspect allegedly claimed "to be a lawyer and an employee of the Syrian refugee commission to conduct scam, theft and fraud operations." Lebanon has been strained by the influx of more than a million refugees from the civil war in neighboring Syria, who make up about a quarter of Lebanon’s population. Lebanese security forces regularly raid Syrian refugee camps across Lebanon in search of gunmen and militants as part of an effort to clamp down on dormant extremist cells operating the country."
This security incident was mapped according to the closest possible location.
