East Lebanon police arrested a man suspected of celebratory gunfire in Baalbeck, Internal Security Forces said on Twitter. An ISF Intelligence Branch patrol apprehended 50-year-old Zaher Aqeel in the town of Bednayel near Baalbeck for shooting a weapon, the Twitter statement said. Lebanon’s Education Ministry released the remaining exam results for vocational and technical education students. Celebratory gunfire is common after exam releases in Lebanon, despite stray bullets injuring bystanders and on June 29, killing a man in Baalbeck.
