Mount Lebanon police have arrested a prostitution ring, along with its kingpin, authorities said. A police patrol apprehended four Syrian women over charges of prostitution in the Mount Lebanon town of Sahel Alma near Jounieh in the Kesrouan district, an Internal Security Forces statement said Saturday. A 32-year-old Syrian man, identified by his initials as Aa.H., was also arrested in the police raid on charges of facilitating prostitution. The man had allegedly used a rented car, which police impounded, to drop off the women at clients' desired locations, the statement added. Several arrest warrants were previously issued against him over charges of human trafficking, facilitating prostitution, and firing from a weapon. Investigations are currently underway pending further legal actions.
