Police arrested a man in southern Lebanon suspected of stealing approximately $30,000, authorities said.
The Internal Security Forces’ Information Branch apprehended a 23-year-old Palestinian man who allegedly stole money and jewelry worth nearly $30,000 from the house of a Lebanese citizen F.Aa. in 2016. After almost a year, the suspect, known as Z.J., was detained at Abbasieh intersection near Tyre, an ISF statement reported. The Statement added that Z.J. admitted to the robbery and to investing the $30,000 on the stock market. Z.J. was referred to the judiciary for further investigations.
