Police in the northern district of Akkar detained a man who killed another by stabbing him to death, the state-run National News Agency reported Sunday.
NNA said that policemen from Jbeil and Beino stations managed to arrest B. Bakish in Akkar after he stabbed to death 19-year-old Abdullah Mohammad Sahmarani in Amchit earlier in the morning. Sahmarani succumbed to his wounds immediately following the attack.
The suspect fled to the north after he committed the alleged crime.
Bakish's brother and the victim have an old feud between them, NNA reported.
The body was transferred to Our Lady of Succor Hospital in Jbeil.
