Police arrest car thief in Mount Lebanon

The Internal Security Forces announced the arrest of a car thief in Mount Lebanon. In a statement, the ISF said that after a series of robberies in Mount Lebanon, its information branch was able to catch 54-year-old Aa.M red handed while he was breaking the window of a parked car in Nahr al-Mott. He was attempting to steal a bag from inside. Upon questioning , the suspect confessed to seven robberies, in which he would use a motorcycle to get away, in Jdeideh, Zalka, Dora and Sin al-Fil. The ISF also discovered that he had theft-related priors, and that he was released from prison less than two weeks ago. The suspect was referred to the judiciary for further investigation. The ISF called on the public to avoid leaving valuables exposed once they park their cars as this can lead to theft.
