A suspect in the murder and subsequent burning of a woman in Sidon’s Ain al-Hilweh was arrested Thursday by the camp’s joint Palestinian security forces.

Preliminary investigations into the incident took place after the body of the woman, identified as D.M., was transported to Sidon’s governmental hospital after a fire in her house. Investigators concluded that the woman had been killed prior to the fire, which had led to the discovery of her body.

The main suspect in the case, identified as Aa.M., was found to be the woman’s nephew. Investigations are ongoing.
