The Supreme Palestinian Security Committee overseeing the stability of refugee camps held a meeting on Wednesday in Mieh w Mieh Palestinian refugee camp in Sidon.

The meeting had been an occasion to discuss the formation of a joint Palestinian security force in Mieh w Mieh camp.

It has been agreed in a statement issued at the end of the meeting to deploy in Mieh w Mieh camp a joint Palestinian security force of 40 officers.

A similar meeting will be held in Beirut soon to discuss the formation of a security force in Beirut camps as well.
