Khaled Taleb was killed in a shootout with the Lebanese Army during searches carried out by the latter in Fneidek, Akkar, a Lebanese Army communiqué said on Wednesday.
"A rifle and a pistol were in the possession of Taleb, who took part with his brother, Mohammad, in incidents that occurred yesterday in the same region," the communiqué added.
"The army is chasing other attackers to stop them and bring them before the competent court," the communiqué added.

Calm prevailed on Wednesday after the Army intervened and contained the clash that erupted on Tuesday night between two families in Fneidek, NNA field reporter said.

The Army is currently chasing the shooters who left the village to an unknown destination.
