The Intelligence department of the Lebanese army arrested Abada Hujeiri, the son of Sheikh Mustafa Hujeiri, known as "Abu Takiyye", in the northeastern border town of Arsal.

Abada was detained over many arrest warrants issued against him for alleged ties to extremist organizations and for carrying weapons in his Toyota FJ cruiser. 

The detainee was referred to the Military Police in Bekaa for further investigations.
