أعلنت المديرية العامة لقوى الأمن الداخلي في بيان أنه "بتاريخ 1/12/2017 وفي بلدة بطرام/ الكورة، وجدت السيدة: وداد ديب أبي صعب العيناتي ( مواليد عام 1931، لبنانية) مقتولة طعناً داخل منزلها"، مشيرة الى أنه "بنتيجة التحريات والاستقصاءات المكثفة تمكنت مفرزة طرابلس القضائية في وحدة الشرطة القضائية من إماطة اللثام عن هذه الجريمة وكشف الفاعل وتوقيفه، وهو: أ. ل. ( مواليد عام 1998، لبناني) بالتحقيق معه اعترف بارتكاب هذه الجريمة بدافع السرقة. بتفتيش منزله عثر على سلسال ذهبي وايقونة العذراء اللذين سرقهما من منزلها. التحقيق جارٍ بإشراف القضاء المختص".
