Mount Lebanon police arrested a man suspected of passing bad checks, authorities said.
A unit from Internal Security Forces’ Information Branch Wednesday apprehended a 33-year-old Lebanese man, identified by his initials as J.Z., on Yahchouch highway north of Beirut, an ISF statement said.
The suspect is wanted on a judicial sentence and twelve arrest warrants, it added.
He frequently visited a café in Jounieh despite his legal status, ISF said, adding he used to tell his friend, “Let them [ISF] dare arrest me.”
