The Palestinian People’s Initiative organized a symbolic march through the streets of the Ain al-Hilweh camp Sunday, decrying the diminished level of aid supplied by the UN. This year the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian refugees provided refugees with significantly less aid than they have received in the past. This was especially apparent with respect to health care and medical relief. While refugees previously had access to nearly free health care, they are now forced to pay 20 percent of their hospital bills. Protestors marched behind a banner that read, “We will not be silent when it comes to our rights and the need for UNRWA to uphold its responsibilities.” http://dailystar.com.lb/News/Lebanon-News/2016/Jan-04/330051-ain-al-hilw...
