One man was wounded in an armed ambush overnight in the southern area of Bint Jbeil, the state-run National News Agency reported.
The wounded man, identified as B. Abadi, born in 1974, was ambushed in the town of Kafra while traveling in a car with his 5-year-old son.
An unknown gunman shot at the car, hitting Abadi in the leg. Shrapnel from the shooting also reportedly wounded his face.
Abadi was taken to a local hospital for treatment. His son was unharmed, according to NNA.
Abadi’s family has appealed to authorities to arrest the assailants.
